The Minister of Health, Labour, and Welfare is the Cabinet of Japan member in charge of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, conducting several severe health policies concerning drugs, medical practices and medical equipment.

In order for products to receive this certification, they must be from an acceptable source such as a cow or chicken and slaughtered according to these laws.
